We trust everyone remains well and are delighted to see more Meetings being held in person again.
STRENGHTENING OUR BOARD
We are delighted to announce that Ian Bates has accepted our invitation to join our Board as a Director. Ian is a past Leader of Huntingdon District Council and recently retired as our County Councillor. Ian’s experience and knowledge will be of great benefit to this Group.
ASTRO-TURF SITE – Withdrawn Planning Application Reference FMW/072/19
HAPC have continued to press EA to have the site cleared but the owners have taken little action. HAPC are being assisted by a solicitor.
Land Registry records as at 19th September still show the site to be owned by Ray Paton although MGL insist they now own the site and representatives have recently advised they tend to use it.
We remain concerned at the clear breaches of existing planning conditions and continue to press CCC accordingly.
HEMINGFORD ABBOTS GOLF RANGE, SHOP & CONFERENCE CENTRE
The application for the construction of a Dino Golf Junior Complex (Ref:21/0047/FUL) was approved by HDC on 13th August. This will be an excellent addition to the popular facilities established by American Golf and we understand it should open next Spring. Catering services are also being expanded.
NEW DRAFT WASTE AND MINERALS PLAN
The new Waste and Minerals Plan has been unanimously approved by both Cambridge County Council and Peterborough City Council and is therefore the plan to which all planning applications must be considered. The improved safeguards we secured will help in opposing any expansion of existing sites including the Astro-Turf site.
HEMINGFORD GOLF CLUB CAR PARK
The Car Park remains empty but there have been cars in the bungalow overnight.
SUB-COMMITTEE TO ASSIST WITH THE PROCESS OF PREPARING A DETAILED PROPOSAL FOR THE HEMINGFORD GOLF CLUB TO BE GRANTED THE STATUS OF COMMUNITY ASSET et seq
We continue to believe this is a matter for the future.

PLANNED PUBLIC MEETING
We have decided that we should delay a further public meeting until the New Year.
