Parish Council and Supporters Update as at April 20th 2021

Covid-19 as the lockdown eases

We trust everyone remains well.

We continue to maintain very close contact will all our Parish, District and County Councillors and are grateful to them for their on-going help. We will continue with these monthly newsletters until such time as we can arrange a further public meeting (which plan for 19th September this year) and rely on reactions from everyone to help keep us up to date.

Please do let us know if there is anything you become aware of which would be helpful. Our general e-mail address continues to suffer an access fault so please feel free to contact me direct: iain.muspratt@hemingfordsactiongroup.co.uk

Astro Turf Site – Planning Application Reference FMW/072/19

CCC Highways team have now promised to meet with us to discuss the Highways concerns we have raised.

MGL have at last provided CCC with the information CCC requested many months ago and CCC have confirmed to us last Friday the following:

Once we have determined if the information is sufficient for colleagues to form a view and confirm whether it is possible for the tracking to take place within the original red line and on the highway improvements sought by the extant permission (in other words within area of the existing access road) then we should be in a position to provide you with our view on the red line boundary. At that point we will also be able to determine if we are content that it can be considered as a Section 73 planning application or not, and if it can then we can start to move forward with the vibration assessments.

If we are able to consider this as a Section 73 and can move forward with the vibration assessments (which are yet to be confirmed so please don’t assume this will be the case) we are still a number of months away from being in a position to make an officer recommendation to Planning Committee so I do not expect this to be resolved in the short term. I know that a senior member of CCC Highways team is also preparing information to allow a meeting to also take place with you, which we will need to also factor in to our considerations.

Finally we do not appear to have been consulted by Huntingdonshire District Council on the golf course application so one of our officers has already contacted them to out why and in the meantime I would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Our advice is that the Application does not fall within the parameters of Section 73 and Highways points we have raised indicate that the application does not meet current requirements.

HEMINGFORD ABBOTS GOLF RANGE, SHOP & CONFERENCE CENTRE

We have received an invitation to meet with Messrs American Golf to discuss both their plans and brief them on all outstanding matters regarding the Astro Turf Site and Golf Club.

NEW DRAFT WASTE AND MINERALS PLAN

The Inspector has approved the Amended Plan which cannot be adopted as Policy until after May 6thelections. The first full meeting of the new Council is May 18th and of the Planning Committee June 10;the next are July 20th and July 29th respectively

It is important to us that the new plan is adopted as quickly as possible as the safeguards we have secured are helpful to our cause.

HEMINGFORD GOLF CLUB CAR PARK

One of the two large trailer units belonging to GBM Demolition remain in the Car Park and other vehicles are using the bungalow car park and presumably the bungalow.

SUB_COMMITTEE TO ASSIST WITH THE PROCESS OF PREPARING A DETAILED PROPOSAL FOR THE HEMINGFORD GOLF CLUB TO BE GRANTED THE STATUS OF COMMUNITY ASSET et seq

This matter remains outstanding and will not be progressed until we have met with and established an ongoing dialoque with American Golf.
